Our Commitment
Bleedpoint is committed to making our service accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that financial tools should be usable by all founders, regardless of how they navigate the web.
We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards across the bleedpoint.com website and the Bleedpoint web application.
What We Do
Design and Development Practices
- Semantic HTML throughout the site
- Proper heading hierarchy and landmark regions
- Sufficient color contrast (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Alt text on meaningful images
- Form labels and error messages associated programmatically with inputs
- Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements
- No reliance on color alone to convey information
- Respect for prefers-reduced-motion settings
Keyboard Navigation
- All interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields) are reachable via keyboard
- Logical tab order
- Skip-to-main-content links on every page
- Visible focus indicators
Screen Reader Support
- ARIA labels and descriptions where semantic HTML alone isn't sufficient
- Status messages announced via ARIA live regions
- Error messages announced when validation fails
Testing
We test our site and application using:
- Automated tools: axe DevTools, WAVE, Lighthouse accessibility audits
- Manual checks: keyboard-only navigation, screen reader testing (VoiceOver, NVDA)
- Color contrast verification: WebAIM Contrast Checker
Known Limitations
We strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, but we recognize there may be areas where we fall short. We're actively working on improvements.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on Bleedpoint, we want to know. Please see the next section.
Reporting Accessibility Issues
If you experience difficulty using Bleedpoint due to an accessibility barrier, please contact us:
Email: support@bleedpoint.com
Subject line: "Accessibility Issue"
Please include:
- A description of the issue
- The page or feature where you encountered it
- The assistive technology you're using (if applicable)
- Your contact information
Our Response Commitment
- We will acknowledge your report within 2 business days
- We will assess the issue and respond with a plan or fix within 15 business days
- For critical barriers preventing access to core service functionality, we'll prioritize a same-week resolution where feasible
We treat accessibility issues with the same seriousness as security issues. If we can't fix something immediately, we'll work with you to find a workaround.
Third-Party Content
Bleedpoint integrates with third-party services (Stripe Connect, payment processing, analytics tools). We work to ensure these integrations meet accessibility standards within our control, but we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party platforms.
If you encounter accessibility barriers in third-party integrations, please report them both to us and to the third-party provider so we can advocate for fixes on your behalf.
